BUTCH'S LOBSTER BAR     (Snowmass)
Located in the Timberline Condominiums above the mall. Long established restaurant, a favorite with locals.  Not fancy, but excellent for fresh lobster and seafood. "Great value"; some negative comments about non-seafood dishes.   Very busy, reservations recommended. Moderate. 923-4004

BROTHER'S GRILL   (Snowmass)
Coffee Shop with excellent breakfasts, lunch, and dinner. Slopeside on the 5th floor of the Silvertree Hotel. Even some healthy choices on menu! Moderate.  923-3520

CABOOSE/SNOWMASS PIZZA     (Snowmass)
Pizza, hot dogs, burgers, tacos etc. on the Mall open 9 AM to 9 PM. For take out or delivery (5 - 9 PM) call 923-5711 Cheap(er!) and good!

CAFE SUZANNE   (Snowmass)
On the mountain at the bottom of the Elk Camp lift. Much improved over the last 5 years. Very good food cafeteria style. 923-3103

CAFE INK     (Snowmass)
Main level Snowmass Mall.  New owners and chef last year. Coffee bagel bar with minimal other selections. No information. 923-2748 CIRQUE CAFE Slopeside dining in what used to be the Timbermill.Features hearty American cuisine healthy choices. Breakfast 7:30 - 10:45 AM; Lunch 11:30 AM - 2:30 PM; Apres Ski begins at 2:30 with live entertainment daily specials. 923-8686

THE CONSERVATORY     (Snowmass)
Serving breakfast & lunch & apres ski in the Silvertree Hotel with panoramic view of the slopes. Features piano bar and a Sunday brunch. Reservations recommended. 923-3520

COWBOY'S     (Snowmass)
Western with "Colorado" cuisine.  Lunch and dinner; live music at 5:30 PM. We (and others) feel the food's not worth the money, but excellent reports for music and atmosphere. Expensive. 923-5249

DUDLEY'S   (Snowmass)
On the mountain at the top of Sam's Knob. Gourmet lunch with a great view. 923-6220

HIGH ALPINE RESTAURANT AND GWYN'S RESTAURANT   (Snowmass)
Located on the mountain at the top of Alpine Springs lift (#8) or Naked Lady lift (#15). In two sections; the cafeteria side has the best food I have eaten at a resort cafeteria.  The other section, Gwyn's, has outstanding food, elegantly served with a view of the slopes; prices are moderate. For Gwyn's, make reservations in advance if possible. Serving breakfast and lunch; don't miss it! For reservations call 923-5188

iL POGGIO   (Snowmass)
Italian, expensive to very expensive; reports are excellent. Two seating areas, the Ristorante & the more casual Cafe. 923-4292

KRABLOONIK   (Snowmass)
Spectacular rustic atmosphere featuring European cuisine and wild game for lunch and dinner. Food: excellent; expensive to very expensive. Short taxi ride. Also open for lunch at the bottom of Campground lift. RESERVATIONS REQUIRED, YOU MUST CALL PRIOR TO ARRIVAL IN SNOWMASS TO ENSURE RESERVATIONS. 970-923-3953

French! Excellent but menu is limited. Romantic setting. Very expensive. Open for lunch and dinner.  923-6804

LA BRASSERIE     (Snowmass)
Next door to La Boheme and run by the same chef. French & Italian Bistro open for lunch and dinner, Live music 7:30 - 10:30 PM. Moderate to expensive. 923-6804

LA PINATA     (Snowmass)
Mexican, two levels below the Mall. Less expensive, but still expensive for Mexican food. Lots of locals in smokey, bar atmosphere. We have always preferred La Cocina in Aspen by far. Take out available.923-2153

MAYFAIR DELI PIZZERIA     (Snowmass)
Gormet deli pizzeria in a bistro atmosphere. Paper plates; pizza, sandwiches, salads desserts. Take out and delivery available. 923-5938

MOUNTAIN DRAGON   (Snowmass)
Szechuan & Mandarin cuisine located one level above the Mall. Takeout and delivery available.Food: very good, but you have to suffer through long waits and occasional bad service; moderate prices which is expensive for Chinese food. Reservations recommended. 923-3576.

PARADISE BAKERY   (Snowmass)
Located in Mall near slopes.Wonderful ice cream and baked goods. Also serving soup, salad, sandwiches, and chili for lunch. 923-4712

SAGE at the SNOWMASS CLUB     (Snowmass)
239 Snowmass Club Circle. Hasn't been exciting in the past, but better comments in last couple years. "excellent food; club atmosphere; a hidden gem!" Features "High Alpine Cuisine", vegetarian dishes homemade desserts.  Serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Moderate to expensive. 923-0923

S'NO BEACH CAFÉ     (Snowmass)
Mall balcony. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner.Cheap prices, quick service. For take out call 923-2597

STEW POT   (Snowmass)
On the Mall, homemade soups, stews, bread and sandwiches with salads. Lunch and Dinner.  Smoking not allowed! Food: very good - less expensive, a real favorite with our family and many others. 923-2263

THE STONEBRIDGE RESTAURANT     (Snowmass)
Located in the Stonebridge Inn.Fresh seafood specials nightly; excellent Moderate. 923-2420

THE TOWER RESTAURANT AND THE TOWER MAGIC BAR   (Snowmass)
On the Mall for lunch and dinner.  Steaks, prime rib, etc. plus vegetarian specialties. All desserts homemade. Be sure to stop by the bar to watch the magicians beginning at 7:00 PM. Food: lunches are excellent; dinner very good; moderate to expensive. Now taking reservations which are highly recommended. Service can be slow. 923-4650

UP 4 PIZZA   (Snowmass)
At the top of the Big Burn (#4) lift. Excellent pizza if you like lots of cheese and toppings, served fast; salads, some sandwiches. Less expensive; another "on the mountain" temptation.

VILLAGE STEAKHOUSE     (Snowmass)
Upstairs in the Wildwood Lodge with panoramic views for lunch and dinner. Management is now same as Brother's Grill Silvertree Hotel. Excellent soup and salad bar; 923-2073

ZANE'S TAVERN     (Snowmass)
Casual; hamburgers, pasta, etc.; for lunch and dinner; located on the Mall upper level. 923-3515

Across from the Park and bus stop in Aspen. Traditional American steak and lobster house (fish also) with a salad bar. Not nearly up to previous standards the last two years. We've taken away the stars, and probably won't go back. Hungry for steak? Try the Steak Pit. Food - moderate to expensive. Reservations accepted 925-3525

CRYSTAL PALACE THEATRE RESTAURANT   (Aspen)
300 E. Hyman Avenue in Aspen. Cabaret revue of topical satire after a gourmet dinner. A wonderfully it.

FARFALLA TRATTORIA     (Aspen)
415 E. Main, Italian, excellent food, Moderate to expensive. Reservations suggested.; 925-8222

GUIDO'S   (Asepn)
403 S. Galena Swiss-French cuisine. Been there "forever", but renovations are nice with beautiful view of Aspen Mt. in daylight; we think the food is excellent. The fondue is our favorite. Reservations suggested. 925-7222

HOTEL JEROME     (Aspen)
330 East Main Street. Worth a visit to see this beautifully restored, historic hotel. Silver Queen Restaurant:"Wonderful food; good service"; expensive 920-1000

LA COCINA   (Aspen)
308 E. Hopkins in Aspen.  If you like spicy Mexican food we think it is the best in town. One of the most popular places in town with locals. Bean dip is famous, as are desserts (chocolate velvet - raspberry sundaes!). A favorite we never miss. Prices: less expensive.No reservations accepted; No credit cards accepted. Expect to wait unless you arrive before 6 PM.

LITTLE ANNIE'S EATING HOUSE     (Aspen)
517 East Hyman Avenue. Usually crammed with locals. Lunch and Dinner. "Good food & reasonable". 925-1098

LITTLE NELL'S HOTEL     (Aspen)
675 E. Durant. Contemporary American Cuisine; Excellent to fabulous. Most people concede it is the best food in Aspen, and that is saying something significant. "Sunday brunch is fantastic". Most extensive wine list in Aspen. Expensive to very expensive. 920-4600

MILAN'S RESTAURANT   (Aspen)
